New Small Business Grant Program Opens Applications This Month
The city's economic development office is offering grants of up to $25,000 for qualifying small businesses in designated growth corridors.
Small business owners in the city's designated economic growth corridors can now apply for grants of up to $25,000 through a new program launched by the Office of Economic Development.
The program, funded by a combination of federal Community Development Block Grant dollars and local appropriations, targets businesses with fewer than 20 employees that have been operating for at least one year.
Priority will be given to businesses owned by women, veterans, and members of historically underrepresented communities. Applications are open through October 31.
"We want to make sure the businesses that anchor our neighborhoods have the resources to grow and thrive," said Economic Development Director James Osei.
